Break open, something lovely
beauty born from pain
maw reaching, surface gaping
mouth filled with darkened stain
Every drop placed perfectly
hands pull and clench and tug
hours, even days pass on
till wrapped up in flesh, snug

will never come to fruit
yet it strikes bone and buries deep
till the heart follows suit

Newborn only days before
with skin as soft as snow
fresh breath to grace the frigid air
pulls life from down below
She felt warmth thrice in ecstasy
had courage not to fear
till stolen by unseen desire
that softly held her dear

Another heart draws near her body
draped in nighttime glow
while sunshine pours from him to her
and a gentle breeze does blow
fingertips or butterfly wings
brush her soft curved cheek
planets on collision course
till tempered passion - breached
